Erica Weiner is Assistant General Counsel, Global IP &
Brand Protection at Michael Kors where she manages a global team of
intellectual property professionals focused on protecting the Michael Kors
In her role at Michael Kors,
Erica created the first ever brand protection team at the company which now
encompasses the entire world with team members based in New York, London and
Hong Kong. In addition to managing the global
brand protection program, Erica is also responsible for developing and
protecting the Michael Kors intellectual property and domain name portfolios,
managing intellectual property litigation, reviewing all creative collateral
and new designs, trademark clearance, grey market matters, managing the
company’s licensing program including both product and territorial licenses and
working closely with the executive team on issues related to intellectual
property. Erica was previously Trademark
& Copyright Counsel at Georgia-Pacific LLC and Trademark Counsel at Revlon.
